Needed road bike insurance. Got a quote, bought it. Took about 10 minutes. Policy documents came fast. Simple, no fuss.

Decent cover, small delay

I purchased professional cycling insurance for my racing bike. The policy itself seems robust, covering accidental damage and even loss of earnings which is crucial for me. Getting the quote was quick. The only minor snag was that it took almost a full day for the confirmation email to arrive, which had me double-checking my spam folder. Otherwise, the website was clear and the cover seems comprehensive. Pretty satisfied overall, just wish that email came through a bit quicker.

So happy with my e-bike insurance!

Oh my goodness, I just got e-bike insurance from CyclePlan and I am so happy! The process was super fast and easy. I got a great price for comprehensive cover, including theft and accidental damage. I'm definitely going to tell all my cycling friends about them. So glad I found CyclePlan!

Reliable as always

This is my third year renewing my bicycle theft insurance with CyclePlan, and they've been consistently reliable. I first insured my mountain bike, then added public liability, and this year I renewed both. The renewal process was simple, just a few clicks. The pricing has remained competitive, and I appreciate the multi-bike discount. It's why I keep coming back instead of shopping around every year. Never had to make a claim, which is good, but their customer service has always been responsive when I've had policy questions.

Good coverage, smooth process

I recently purchased accidental damage cover for my road bike from CyclePlan. Getting a quote online was straightforward; I entered all the bike's details and got a clear price quickly. The policy documents arrived in my email within an hour of purchase, which was efficient. I had a quick question about the excess, so I used their online chat. The agent was helpful and answered my query fully. It feels good knowing my bike is properly covered now. The website was easy to navigate and the whole process was less of a headache than I expected. I appreciated that they outlined the security requirements very clearly, so no surprises there.

Good value for money

I was looking for the best deal on gravel bike insurance and CyclePlan's introductory offer was pretty decent. I got a good percentage off the first year which made it quite affordable. I compared it to a few other providers, and for the level of cover I needed, CyclePlan offered the most bang for my buck. It felt like a solid investment for peace of mind without breaking the bank.

how strict are they with the security requirements? my bike is pretty expensive and i want to make sure i'm covered if something happens.

O Olivia Allen 5 days ago
They're pretty clear about it. You'll need specific locks for certain bike values, and if it's stored at home, it usually needs to be in a secure place. Just make sure you read the policy docs on that part, it's important for claims.

Yeah, if your bike is over a certain value, you'll likely need a 'Sold Secure Gold' lock or similar. They're not messing around with high-value bikes, which is fair enough I guess.

Comparing CyclePlan with Laka and Bikmo. Anyone got strong opinions on which is better for a commuter bike that sometimes goes on weekend trips?

M Mark Lopez 6 days ago
I went with CyclePlan over Laka mainly because their accidental damage cover seemed a bit more comprehensive for my daily commute bumps. Plus, worldwide cover is a nice bonus if you ever take it abroad.

Bikmo and CyclePlan are both pretty solid. CyclePlan might be better if you've got multiple bikes, as I think their multi-bike discount is decent. For a single commuter, it might come down to the exact quote you get from each.

Does CyclePlan do anything for new customers? Just got a new mountain bike and trying to save some cash where I can.

S Sandra E. 1 month ago
Usually, yeah. I got a pretty decent intro discount when I first signed up, like 20-30% off the first year. Keep an eye out for that.

They often have new customer deals, sometimes it's automatic if you go through certain links, or you might need a code. Don't think you can stack it with other stuff though if you also get a multi-bike discount.

Thinking of getting insurance for my new road bike. Anyone used CyclePlan? Are they legit or should I just stick with my home insurance?

L Linda Phillips 1 day ago
Yeah CyclePlan is totally legit. They're specialist bike insurance so cover way more than home insurance ever would for a bike, especially if you ever race or travel with it. Worth checking out.

I've used them for a few years, pretty good. My friend had a claim with them after his e-bike got nicked from his garage and it was pretty smooth, got a new one super fast.

My son is at uni and wants to insure his gravel bike. Do they do student discounts or anything like that for younger riders?

S Steven K. 4 weeks ago
I'm pretty sure they have a student discount! My niece used it last year for her e-bike. Worth checking their site, should be in the discount section or FAQs.

Yeah, they do student discounts. Just make sure he's got his student ID or whatever proof they need when he gets a quote. It's usually a good chunk off the premium.
